  • Drama Club Audition Announcement

    Date: August 21, 2018

    The CMS Drama Club will hold auditions for the fall production of "The Headless Horseman" on Friday, September 7 from 2:45 - 4:30pm in the Chorus room. The show will take place on Friday, November 2nd at 6:30pm. All interested students should sign-up outside of the chorus room by Friday, August 31, and will receive an audition information and preparation packet to share with their parents at that time. Please email Mrs. Gatzoulis (cgatzoulis@sau15.net) with any questions or if you would like to sign up before the first day of school.

  • PSAT 8/9 Change in Deadline to Sign Up

    Date: August 21, 2018

    The date to sign up for the PSAT 8/9 has changed to August 26, 2018  This is a result of the timeline to order test booklets for the students.  If you are interested in having your son/daughter take the PSAT 8/9 please sign up using this link PSAT 8/9 Sign UP by August 26, 2018. There is no school on September 28, as a result of a teacher workshop day. The PSAT testing will begin at 8:30 am and end approximately at 11:00 am. The test is optional and not required by Cawley Middle School or any receiving high school.

    Fall sports will be starting the week of September 4. Please see specific dates and times for each sport below. Students must complete the forms in the athletic handbook and bring them to the coach on the first day the team meets. A current physical must be on file with the nurse before a student can participate in athletics. A physical done after September 1, 2017 is current.   • PSAT 8/9 Assessment

    On September 28, 2018 Cawley Middle School will provide 8th grade students with the opportunity to take the PSAT 8/9 assessment. The PSAT 8/9 is an assessment that students take in preparation for taking the SAT in high school that colleges use as part of the application process. The PSAT will measure what students already know in reading, writing and language, and math. The results will also provide students with skills they need to work on in order to be successful in college.   • CMS Closed 7/30 - 8/17

    Date: July 26, 2018

    As a result of the installation of a new fire panel, Cawley Middle School will be closed from July 30 - August 17.  Only essential employees will be allowed access to the building.  If you need to contact the school the principal, Mr. Benson, assistant principal, Brad Largy and administrative assistant, Laura Duchesne will still be answering the phones and receiving and responding to emails.

    On June 18, 2018, at the annual Recognition Evening held at the Cawley Middle School 93 eighth grade students received certificates from the President’s Education Awards Program.
