She began teaching in 1988, and through 2015 she worked in various roles including music teacher, Director of Fine Arts, Director of Greater Manchester Professional Development Center and Principal of Webster Street School.     FULL-DAY KINDERGARTEN AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AT FRED C. UNDERHILL SCHOOL Hooksett, New Hampshire - January 10, 2018 - The Hooksett School Board is committed to bringing full-day kindergarten to the Hooksett School District. They are proposing to remove the portable classrooms, renovate the existing space, and construct a new addition to make room for the full-day kindergarten program. The cost for the construction project is $4,057,650.     Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 13 at 6:30. The Hooksett PTA is bringing renowned author and psychotherapist Lynn Lyons to our district to present a free workshop titled "Strategies for Managing Children with Anxiety in School and Home." Lynn is an anxiety expert who has appeared all over TV, radio, and podcasts where she delivers strategies parents and teachers can use to help children with anxiety.   • Learn Google Docs at the Public Library, December 27

    On Wednesday, December 27 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, Cawley students and their parents are encouraged to go to the Hooksett Public Library to learn tips and tricks from HPL's Information & Technology Specialist, Mark Glisson, and to hear what students can do with Google at school from Justine Thain, the Library Media Director at Cawley Middle School. This session will meet in the Computer Lab behind the YA Room so each person may have their own computer to utilize. Please register to ensure enough computers are available for all.  REGISTER LINK

  • Route Changes to Bus 5 and Bus 13

    Date: December 20, 2017

    Effective January 2 there will be a change affecting the middle school bus routes for Bus 5 and Bus 13, in an effort to alleviate overcrowding. The new route along with time changes is available here. Please plan accordingly so your children that are used to having someone at the stops  waiting for them can expect the same to occur with this change. We appreciate your understanding and expect this change to go smoothly.

  • Cawley Students Win Writing Contest

    Students in Mrs. Saltus' and Mrs. Gartland's 8th grade language arts classes participated in the Young Writers Spine-Chillers Contest in which they wrote mini sagas. There were over 4,500 entries. Dominic Earle, Will Shields, Owen Rowley, Chris Mahair, Austin Bobay and Diamond Page were selected to have their mini sagas published. Spine-Chillers - Tales From New Hampshire is scheduled for publication on February 28, 2018. Congratulations to our newly published authors.
