At the March 19 Hooksett School Board meeting, the Hooksett School Board voted and unanimously approved that the last day of school for students in kindergarten through 7th grade will be an early release day on Friday, June 14, 2019. The last day for 8th grade students will be a full day of school on Thursday, June 13, 2019. Recognition Evening for 8th graders will also be Thursday, June 13, 2019 beginning at 6:00 pm.

Today an email was sent with the date for the Eighth Grade Recognition Evening of June 14, 2019. Eighth Grade Recognition at Cawley has always been the night before the last day of school. This is how this year's date was determined. It is very difficult to plan and coordinate events with multiple school districts that Hooksett's high school students attend. Just a reminder that the second payment of $125 for the 2019 DC trip is due to Bennett Student Travel on or before March 15. The purpose of this letter is to make you aware of this challenge and urge you to monitor your children’s use of social media and games. There will be a thirty minute presentation in the media center at 7:00 pm followed by an outside viewing of the stars. Telescopes will be set up until 9:30 pm.
