    Please check your mailbox by the end of the week as parents will receive information on how to access their child's Schoology accounts.  (This information will not be emailed as previously stated in a prior notification). Parents can create an account that will allow them to view their child’s grades, courses, assignments, daily objectives, daily announcements, homework and links to resources all in the student learning management system, Schoology.  Parents and students will no longer have access to PowerSchool as Schoology provides one location to view the aforementioned information.   • Baseline Concussion Testing for Cawley Students

    On Friday, October 1st, 2021, Cawley Middle School will be offering ImPACT baseline concussion testing for Cawley Middle School students free of cost. Students must be age 12 or older at the time of testing. ImPACT testing is a computerized exam that measures cognitive functions such as memory, processing speed, and reaction time. This test is used by healthcare professionals to determine your child’s readiness to return to play after a head injury.     Dear Parents, I received notification today of a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Cawley Middle School. I have completed contact tracing following the guidelines from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Anyone who was identified as a close contact has been notified of the self-observation guidelines (PDF) via email. The school is working closely with the New Hampshire (NH) Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to follow the guidance they have provided for this situation and will provide updates should their recommendations change.   • 6th Grade Adolescent Changes Information Night

    Dear 6th Grade Parents, On September 27, 2021 at 6:00 pm., 6th grade parents are invited to attend a preview of a health lesson regarding adolescent changes. The presentation will include the viewing of the DVD, Straight Talk About Puberty for Boys and Girls. Students will view these videos together in health class. The lessons will be presented by Health Education teacher, Derek Clark. The preview will be held in the Gymnasium at David R. Cawley Middle School, starting  at 6:00 pm.     Dear Parents, Starting on Wednesday, September 15 and ending on September 17, students will complete the Measures of Academic Progress benchmark assessment from Northwest Evaluation Association, or NWEA MAP, for mathematics and reading. MAP Growth scores help teachers check student performance by measuring achievement and growth at different times of the school year. Teachers use results to tailor classroom lessons and set goals for students. MAP Growth tests are unique and adapt to your child’s responses to measure your child’s skill level.
