    Dear Hooksett school community, On November 3, New Hampshire voters will see a ballot question related to school district property-tax limits under House Bill 1300 (HB 1300). The Hooksett School Board, at our October 20 Board meeting, authorized Superintendent Rearick and me to prepare and distribute information about the measure and potential implications for district budgeting. This isn't a sales pitch advocating for a position. There is some nuance to the bill, and some important aspects which haven't gotten much coverage.   • U.S. News and World Report Recognizes Cawley Middle School

    The U.S. News and World Report published the 2027 Best Middle Schools, and the news was great for David R. Cawley Middle School. For the fourth straight year Cawley Middle School is ranked in the top 20 for New Hampshire Middle Schools. This year Cawley is ranked  #18 out of all middle schools in New Hampshire. In the press release it was reported that, “David R. Cawley Middle School is ranked #18 in New Hampshire Middle Schools. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare their students for high school.”

  • Cawley 2026 Winter Sports

    Date: October 21, 2026

    Cawley offers several winter sports: boys and girls basketball and cheerleading. In order for your student to try out for basketball or cheer, you must complete this Winter Sports Sign Up Form by November 6 and have a cleared physical on file with the school nurse. Girls Basketball tryouts: 11/9, 11/10, 11/12 & 11/13 from 2:45 pm - 4:15 pm.  Girls will stay after school.     This year, parent/teacher conferences will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. All parents/teacher conferences will be in person.   • 6th Grade Adolescents Changes Parent Information Night

    On September 29, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the Cawley Media Center, 6th grade parents are invited to attend a preview of a health lesson regarding adolescent changes. The presentation will include the viewing of the DVD, Straight Talk About Puberty for Boys and Girls. Students will view these videos together in health class.   • Cawley Dance Safety and Dismissal Procedures

    Cawley Middle School’s first dance is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Student safety is always a priority at Cawley, therefore we ask that parents and students follow all dance dismissal procedures. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Students will buy a ticket with a number on it during their lunch period on 9/16, 9/17 and 9/18. The cost of a dance ticket is $5.00.
