Volunteer Opportunities

August 12, 2019

Greetings Cawley Parents,

I am excited for another school year and I hope you are as well. This is my first year as Cawley’s Volunteer Coordinator but I have been involved in the Hooksett schools volunteering for the past 10 years. I love being a part of our schools. I have spent many years as a volunteer at Underhill, Memorial, as well as several years with the Hooksett PTA. My family has lived in Hooksett for about 17 years. I currently have a sophomore at Pinkerton Academy and a 7th grader at Cawley. As you all know Hooksett is a great community and a wonderful place to raise a family.

Middle school is an important stepping stone for our children. They are growing and changing, becoming more aware of their social circles and are experiencing more independence. Cawley Middle School has many opportunities where our children can interact socially; monthly dances, in-school activities, end of year BBQ, and team-building opportunities (Firefighters’ Challenge) just to name a few. In order for these activities and events to be successful we still need your help. Please consider giving and hour or two of your time.

In order to make volunteering easier we have created a sign-up of all activities for the school year. Follow this link to choose times that work for you. https://www.signupgenius.com/findasignup and search using the email address below.

Thank you in advance for all your help with all of us working together our kids will be able to create memories that last a lifetime.

If you have any questions please contact me at cawleyvolunteers@sau15.net or via cell at 603-490-9995 (text or call).

Kindest Regards,

Kathy Bobay

Cawley Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteer Guidelines

  • Please sign in/sign out using the Yellow Visitor log and the Blue Volunteer Binder in the office. Log your volunteer hours on your individual sheet.
  • A volunteer ID tag is available in the office. Please wear it each time you are in the building and return it when you leave.
  • Ethics and Confidentiality: A volunteer’s work is confidential. Students and families should not be discussed, except as appropriate with school personnel. Please feel free to address any concerns or questions with the teacher or the principal.
  • If you are unable to serve on your scheduled day, please call one of our secretaries, so that the teacher can be informed.

We respectfully request that volunteers refrain from bringing young children with them when volunteering during school hours.
