Mask Update from Superintendent – 12/10/2021

Dear Hooksett School District Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to update you on the mask requirement which was originally implemented on November 24. Since my last communication, the 7-day PCR/Antigen positivity rate has averaged 11.4% which is above the 10% threshold considered substantial transmission by the NH Department of Health and Human Services. The number of active cases have increased from 73 to 109 cases while the number of current cases over the previous 14 days have decreased from 187 to 166 cases.

With the 7-day PCR/Antigen positivity rate average at 11.4% and with the number of active cases still increasing, we will continue with the mask requirement for the week of December 13th through December 20th. I will continue to monitor these data points and will provide another update at the end of next week. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Sincerely,

William Rearick
Superintendent of Schools
