The U.S. News and World Report published the 2026 Best Middle Schools, and the news was great again for David R. Cawley Middle School. For the second straight year Cawley Middle School is ranked in the top 20 for New Hampshire Middle Schools. This year Cawley is ranked  #16 out of all middle schools in New Hampshire.

In the press release it was reported that, “David R. Cawley Middle School is ranked #16 in New Hampshire Middle Schools. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare their students for high school.”

I am extremely proud of our students, staff and families who all “Make a Mark and Make A Difference.”  This national recognition is another prestigious honor for our school community that is a true reflection of the ongoing hard work and dedication of the Cawley staff in providing the students with a well-rounded middle school educational experience.
