Mask Update from Superintendent – 1/7/2022

Dear Hooksett School District Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to update you on the mask requirement which has been in effect since last month. Since my last communication, the 7-day PCR/Antigen positivity rate has averaged 25.9% which is above the 10% threshold considered substantial transmission by the NH Department of Health and Human Services. The number of active cases have increased from 116 to 191 cases and the number of current cases over the previous 14 days have increased from 193 to 244 cases.

With the 7-day PCR/Antigen positivity rate average at 25.9% and with the number of active cases and
new cases over the past 14 days increasing, we will continue with the mask requirement for the week of
January 10th through January 14th. I will continue to monitor these data points and will provide another update at the end of next week.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Sincerely,

William Rearick
Superintendent of Schools
